When we arrived at this well-seasoned family home in the Highlands of the Crystal Falls neighborhood inside Leander, Texas, we needed to put on our proverbial thinking caps to design a plan that would resurrect this backyard and bring it to new, vibrant life.
Originally, there was a small existing rear covered porch on an existing slab. Unfortunately, it wasn’t well done and was showing the rigors of time. It had cracks, breaks, and a multitude of imperfections.
When In Doubt, Tear It Out
Rather than try to remedy a host of sins, our best course of action was to carefully remove the aged covered patio system that was there and start fresh.
Our refreshed design resulted in a gorgeous new concrete patio with a TPC overlay in a rich and fluid Roman Slate pattern in a blend of soft beiges, corals, and cocoa.
We built this new concrete patio around the old original slab which resulted in a whole new patio system.
